[br][br]Nancy Jane "Charlie" Miller-Malone. April 4, 2016, Nancy passed away at Brookdale Northpoint Memory Care unit after a long struggle with Alzheimers. Nancy was born in Milford, Massachusetts August 6, 1926, eldest daughter of Hazel and Curtis J Nutter. For her many friends, the Boston accent was never lost. Nancy was a lifelong Christian, baptized as a Disciple of Jesus Christ on August 9, 1943. Following Hazel's example, she took her vocation seriously and became, along with her sister Shirley, a full time evangelizer. She met a fellow full time minister at a convention of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cleveland, Ohio 1946. After a train station courtship, she married Howard R Miller in February 1947. Curtis joked that "Charlie" and "Bob" were lodge members. They had three children Rory, Curt and Ross. She and Bob moved to Spokane, Washington with their young family in 1956 and raised the kids in the Valley. She lost Bob to a brain tumor in 1985. Al Malone and Nancy married in 1994. She lost dear Al to Alzheimers in 2009. Nancy is survived by her children Rory and her husband Dan, Curt and his wife Michele, Ross and his wife Debie, her step daughter Debbie, and her nephew Dean and his wife Elizabeth. She is also survived by six grand children: Brian, Shawn, Heidi, Nadia, Bradford and Megan, as well as great grandchildren. Dean said "My aunt Nancy to me was always a very classy and dignified Lady". We wish to thank all her caregivers at Brookdale and Hospice. Memorial Service: Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1802 N Raymond Rd Spokane Valley WA, April 15, 2016, 7PM.

BJORK, CHANCE

There's no easy way to say that we lost Chance Bjork on March 5, 2016. When people tell stories about Chance, they say the same things about him, which means that although we share different memories of Chance and knew him during different stages of his life, he was consistently kind, affectionate, silly, empathetic and effervescent. He was good at making people laugh and making them feel comfortable being themselves. He was handsome, adventurous, a rebel and a light - someone who took the time to be with people. He was famous for his bright smile and his great hearty laughter. We will gather and celebrate Chance at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 16th in the Lair building at SCC, for his memorial service. Chance was born in Ventura, CA on February 6, 1995, but spent most of his life here in Spokane. He is preceded in death by his father, Kim Bjork. He was a beloved friend, loving brother, much loved uncle, and very cherished son. Chance's spirit is carried on by his mother, Suzanne Thomson Bjork; sister, Britney Bjork; brothers, Nicholas and Greysen Bjork; niece, Trinity Schultz; his pal Treble Clef, dog extraordinaire; along with extended family and many friends. We will remember him in the neighborhood, at the Frisbee Field, hiking on the bluff, on the slopes at Mt. Spokane, floating down the Spokane River, and in the star-filled sky. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the memorial fund in Chance's name at www.Peak7.org, an organization that challenges the body and engages the spirit of young people through adventures in nature.

[br][br]Dennis R Castoldi (age 75) passed away April 7, 2016 (National Beer Day) at the incredibly caring Hospice House near his home in Spokane, WA. With family by his side, he went in peace with the Lord after a long battle with cancer. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Dennis was born to Mario and Mary Castoldi in Walla Walla, WA. He is survived by his wife Sharon, children: Luanne (Todd) Conley, Lynne Castoldi (Mark Sheehan), Leigh Castoldi (Kirk Goad), Liz Castoldi and Dennis (Kelly) Castoldi, son-in-law: Shawn Letson, grandchildren: Samantha, Garrett and Dominic, siblings: Dolores, Richard, Beth Ann, Donna Kay and Ken, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Elaine Montgomery. He moved from Walla Walla to Lewiston, ID where he lived and worked for 14 years before settling in Spokane, WA. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Yuma, AZ. Dennis had a long rewarding career in the grocery business. Starting as a courtesy clerk at the age of 15 he became a store manager at 20 years old. His strong work ethic was admirable and something he carried though life and passed on to his children and many that worked with and for him. He loved his animals, the outdoors, snowmobiling, skiing, sitting in the sun, playing cards, spending time at the lake, entertaining, travel, flowers and cold beer! In retirement he continued to travel and tend to his many beautiful flowers and plants which were well appreciated and admired by neighbors and those passing by. People often stopped to visit and enjoy his gardens. He loved building additions to their home, lake cabin and winter home and expanding their outdoor living space in order to host others. Super Bowl parties and Fourth of July celebrations became annual events for family and friends. Dennis worked hard and played hard. He had a zest for life and a great sense of humor. His laugh and smile will be missed dearly by those who knew him. Anywho.... In lieu of a service, there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Given his love of animals, donations may be made in his name to The Spokane Humane Society - 6607 N. Havana St. Spokane, WA 99217.

[br][br]Lynn Margaret Broadbent Parrish, beautiful mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend returned to her Heavenly Father April 11th 2016. Although her passing was tragic and unexpected, Lynn left this world surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Oakland, California to Arthur Marion Broadbent Jr. and Phyllis (Fee) Budge Broadbent, Lynn spent her childhood in California and summers with her family at Bear Lake and in Alpine Wyoming. After the untimely death of her father, Lynn and her family moved back to her mother's hometown Logan Utah where she attended Logan High School. There she met the love of her life, Scott K. Parrish at the age of fifteen. She later continued her education at Utah State University alongside Scott. They were married September 24th 1977 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple sealing her to her children and husband for time and all eternity. Their adventures then continued, taking them from Pullman Washington to St. Louis Missouri, Brussels Belgium and Spokane Washington. After eighteen years in Spokane, their hearts lead them back to where their adventures first began in Logan Utah. This last year brought Lynn immense joy, from welcoming her first grandchild into the world, to watching her youngest son win the football state championship with Logan High School. Lynn received much joy and fulfillment not only as a mother, but also as a homemaker, friend and confidant. She was gracious, empathetic and could find love in her heart for anyone. Lynn loved the world and the world loved Lynn. She was a talented musician, writer and artist. Generous and giving, Lynn was unstoppable, having an incredible sense of humor; she could lighten even the darkest situations. Lynn is survived by her husband Scott Parrish, her loving children Alexandria Lynn Parrish, Dalton Parrish, McCall Parrish Florez (Tyler), Maddison Parrish, Chance Parrish and Cade Parrish, a beautiful grandchild Ryland Florez, her devoted mother Fee Broadbent Holmgren, sister Adrian Broadbent Lundgren (Kent) and brother Clay Broadbent (Lisa).
