[br][br]Ronald Frederick Daniel (64) went to be with the Lord on 11/2/15 surrounded by family & friends. Born 2/7/51 in Moscow, Id. to Cletus & Ailene (Nelson) Daniel of Colfax, Wa. He graduated from Mead HS & settled in Longmont, Co. He had a love of hot rods and owned many in his life, from '32 Deuce Coupes to 440 'Cuda's. He had many passions in his life, none more precious than his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He loved sharing the Good Word with anyone that might lend an ear. I'm sure God greeted him with the words "Well done good and faithful servant!" He was preceded in death by his father Cletus, brother-in-law Joe Richardson, & niece Tracy Jo (Richardson) Ramzy. He is survived by his wife Minerva, mother Ailene, brothers Len (Michele), Allen, Duane (Juanita), sisters Audrey Cox (Wally), Dea Richardson, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles. EVANSON, GAYLORD C
Gaylord Evanson, a longtime Spokane Valley resident, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Gaylord was born October 15, 1941 to Hans and Johanna (Evanger) Evanson in Watford City, ND. He attended elementary school through tenth grade in Arnegard, ND and finished high school in Williston, ND. After high school Gaylord served in the U.S. Army stationed in Orleans, France. Upon completing his military service he returned to Williston and attended UND Williston, later transferring to Minot State College. During his career with Frontier Airlines, he and his family were stationed in Minot, ND, Billings, MT, Riverton, WY, and Spokane. Later he worked for the Post Office and then owned and operated The Friendly Tavern in Spokane. After closing the tavern he drove truck until his retirement in 2011.
In March of 1964 Gaylord married his sweetheart, Gladys Martin. Gaylord and Gladys were a couple in the best sense of the word. They did things together. Big things, little things, day to day things. They were together on trips to London and Japan, and together to run errands around town. Gaylord and Gladys raised and loved three wonderful sons, Greg, Jeff and Chris. As a family they spent countless days making the kind of memories every family would be fortunate to share. They camped, boated, fished, and traveled together. They shared special times with their extended families and friends. Hunting and fishing in North Dakota and Canada with sons, brothers, brothers-in-law, nephews and cousins, teaching their sons how to be there for family and friends in good times and sad times. Many of their happiest days and weekends were at various spots on the Columbia River. The river will always be special to them. Those trips were happiest when the family included the boys and their families, Cheri and Alecia, and their grandchildren, Megan, Carly, Hunter and Kyle. Gaylord reveled in those times watching the kids play and enjoy everything outdoors. Gaylord loved to fish for salmon on the coast. His most recent trip in September was simply incredible. He returned from that trip giddy with the experience and friendships shared.
Gaylord was a North Dakota boy through and through. Which means he loved people, loved a good story, believed in an "open door" policy, welcomed you with a cup of coffee before you had a chance to sit down, and was always available to help out. He loved to whip up a batch of rolls, grill something for dinner, or talk Gladys into making a lemon pie.
Gaylord was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Johanna, his brothers Jerome, Vendel and Orville, his sisters Hazel and Helen. And not to be forgotten, his beloved companion black lab, Duke.
Gaylord is survived by his wife, Gladys, their three sons Greg (Cheri), Jeff, Chris (Alecia) and his grandchildren Megan, Carly, Hunter and Kyle, his sister Elena Njos of Williston, his brothers Raymond (Joanne) Evanson of Williston, Hans (Joyce) Evanson and Jim (Bonnie) Evanson, both of Livingston, Mt, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 5th at 3:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 2511 S. Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99206.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice in Gaylord's memory.

[br][br]David Rouse, 35, of Phillipsburg died Monday November 30, 2015. David was born in Spokane on May 9, 1980 and is survived by his parents Jim and Pat Rouse; beloved wife Sara; daughters Brooke, Josie, and son Trevor. He also leaves a brother Brian (Vanessa) Rouse and Scott (Susan) Hylton and sisters Brenda (Brian) Beard, Kelly (Matt) Comer, nieces Allison Beard, Casey Beard, Rachel Comer, Maddalena Hyton, Lilliana Hylton and Nephews Caleb Beard, Wes Comer, Jake Hylton. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Marvin (Agnes) Bell.
He graduated from the University of Idaho in 2002 and worked as a Natural Resources Specialist as USDA Forest Services in Idaho and most recently Montana.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

VAN ANROOY, HENRY M
[br][br]Henry was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, one of six children born to Arie and Johanna van Anrooy. His early years were happy but a struggle, living through WWII in an occupied country. Growing up he loved the beach, his motorcycle and playing soccer. At 18, he served in The Royal Dutch Air Force.
On April 13 1962, Henry made his journey to the US from The Netherlands with $23 and a cardboard suitcase. On Sunday November 29, 2015, he left this world with a whole lot more!
Henry became a citizen and resided in Spokane in 1962. He married his sweetheart from Holland the same year and started his family and life here in Spokane. He loved his new country.
He was a hard worker every day of his life. His profession was a Mechanical Design Engineer for Bovay Engineering, Kaiser Aluminum and eventually his own company, van Anrooy Design Services.
Henry was a phenomenal soccer player, playing in the Netherlands and even the early years of soccer here in the US. He played with many immigrant players for the Spokane Spokes, but his true gift to the game was starting and pioneering soccer for youth in Spokane.
Henry's true love was people. He was so kind to everyone he met. He always had a smile and a story. He loved spending time with his family, whom he often referred to as "the gang!" Survived by his best friend and wife Petra of nearly 53 years; his kids Shirley (Pat Stewart), Rob (Lori van Anrooy), and Jon (Ingrid van Anrooy); and his grandchildren Joel, Elisha, Garrett, Emily, Thijs, and Finn. His extended family still in the Netherlands includes his sisters Noor van Anrooy Johnson and Joke van Anrooy Achilles and nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many close friends near and far who were honored to know such a great man.
He loved catching a good soccer match, a Seahawks game or spending time in the sun at his lake house on Deer Lake.
He passed away peacefully with his family and close friends around him, watching the Seahawks, and drinking a Biertje.
His legacy of family, friends and many great memories were his riches. Henry was often caught saying "They can't take this away from us." He left Sunday with so much.
Henry requested to have a celebration of life party, to be held at a later date to accommodate family from out of town.
In lieu of flowers; memorials can be made to the Deer Lake Pontoon Biertje Fund or Spokane Youth Sports Association (SYSA) for youth soccer scholarships.

FLUKE, WALTER T.
[br][br]Walter went home to his Lord Thursday, November 3, 2015. Born in Grand Forks, ND, May 8, 1931, to William Thomas and Rose M. Fluke, he was the 6th of 8 children.
"Wally", as he was called by family, was raised on a farm in Holt, MN. At age 16 he went to Minneapolis, MN to attend Northwest Bible School. At age 18 he joined the US Air Force and served in North Korea as a cook. In 1952 he followed his two brothers, Willis and Donald Fluke, to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he met the love of his life, Fern Stringham. After a three month courtship, they married on Christmas Eve and together celebrated 62 anniversaries. In 1963 they moved to Coeur d'Alene, ID to raise their three daughters, eventually moving to Spokane Valley, WA.
Walter, a cement mason of 37 years with OPCMIA Local 72, was proud of the many construction projects upon which he had worked in Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. A member of the Inland Empire Steam & Gas Buffs from 1974 - 2010 he enjoyed finding and restoring old gas engines. Walter loved camping, music of all varieties and good food--especially potlucks.
Walter is survived by his wife Fern, 4 sisters, 1 brother, daughters Susan Long (Gary), Cynthia Warfield (Scott), Julie Fluke (Don), grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.To honor Walter's wishes no service will be held at this time.
