[br][br]Jack was born in Greeley, Colorado and grew up in Spokane. He graduated from University High School and attended Washington State University. He died while living at the family home in Kettle Falls, Washington. He loved his friends, his cars, the outdoors, and the regional birds and wildlife. Jack was a talented creator of many hand-crafted lamps, vases and other items, and delighted in working exclusively with found objects. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his family and friends as well as his faithful canine companion, Lakota Sioux. Jack is survived by his father, Bill Striegel and Bill's partner, Mary Baum, in Tucson, Arizona; his mother, Colleen Striegel in Spokane; step-sister Molly Gale, Cody, Nebraska; step-brother, Matt Miller of Boise, Idaho; his aunt Carolyn (John) Moss, Snohomish, Washington; Lori Moss, Portland, Oregon; Molli (Jeff Kyle) Moss, Sultan, Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents Robert E. and Marie Striegel and George and Beth Oliver. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests gifts can be made in Jack's name to a charity of your choice.

[br][br]Babette "Babs" M Stretch (Collins) age 55 entered into rest peacefully on August 26, 2013 surrounded by family to be with the Lord. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandma, and friend to all that knew her. She was born on December 14, 1957 in Spokane, Washington to Glen and Darlene Collins. She graduated from West Valley High School in 1976 and then from SCC in 1978. She was a natural athlete and excelled in gymnastics, snow skiing, rollerskating, swimming, and everything else she ventured to do. She remained in the Spokane area and worked as a cosmetologist, aerobics instructor, day care operator, and in the hospitality industry for years. Her amazing energy and work ethic made her a success in all that she did. After suffering from a debilitating stroke in 2008, Babs against all odds found a quality of life she immensely enjoyed. Her love of the outdoors, animals, gardening, shopping, and spending time with family and friends brought her many years of pleasure. She loved being a grandma and spending time laughing with her grandchildren, the seven angels she's left behind. In April of this year she was diagnosed with cancer, and in spite of a grim prognosis Babs continued to battle courageously and enjoyed her life. She was preceded in death by her father Glen Collins in 1975. She is survived by her parents Darlene and William Morse; siblings Susan Kincaid, Sherry (Hal) Lackman, Bune' (Mike) Shill; children Tami (Chris) Rickel, Edwin (Tiffany) Stretch, Lori Stretch; grandchildren Tyler, Samantha, Jordan, Beau, William, Kaitlin, and Troy; numerous nieces and nephews; a large extended family; and special friends Ann Short and Ivan Pease. A celebration of Bab's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to S.C.R.A.P.S., 2521 N. Flora Rd, Spokane, Washington, 99216.

[br][br]Dolores Ruth Welin (80) was born in Spokane on December 6, 1932, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 18, 2013. Dolores graduated from West Valley High School in 1951. She went to business school and worked as an administrative assistant for several years at Washington Water Power before marrying Tage Welin on April 9, 1960. They owned and operated Cedar Creek Resort on Sacheen Lake near Newport, Washington, where they raised their two children, Kevin and Karen. Dolores and Tage loved Sacheen Lake. They enjoyed fishing and boating daily. In 1989, they retired and spent the winters in Yuma, Arizona. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Freda Schonfeld of Spokane and her sister, Pat Wilcox of Worland, WY. Dolores is survived by her son, Kevin (Kristin) Welin; granddaughters, Madeline and Jessica, of Olympia, WA and her daughter, Karen (Jason) Vandeberg; and grandsons, Jonathan and Justin of Yuma, AZ. A private memorial will be held with the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Hospice of Spokane.

Born June 13,1920, in Fremont, MI., he was preceded in death by his parents John and Lucy (McConnell) Inman, his nine older siblings, his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Margie, in 2008, and his most-loved daughter, Lynette, in 2012. Harlow is survived by his remaining children, Michael Inman, Paddy (Teri) Inman, Larry (Liann) Inman, Joey (Ray) Riepe, Susan (Tom) Smith, and Dan (Barb) Inman. Harlow was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma, WA on August 16, 2013. Kevin was born on October 30, 1952 in Sandpoint ID. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jim M. White. He is survived by his mother, Florence White, his three sons, Seth (Holly), Micah, and Eli, five grandchildren, Hailie, Koedi, Conner, Aiden, and Emily, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1971, and spent his last twenty years living in Reno, NV. He enjoyed coaching baseball when his sons were in Little League. He will forever be missed. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, September 14th at 11am at St John Vianney Church, 503 N Walnut Rd, Spokane Valley.

Shane Michael Lee Hoover(32) Laid to rest on September 1st, 2013. Shane was born in Spokane on April 19, 1981 to Arlene Berg-Trickey and Mark Hoover. Shane was preceded in death by: Grandparents Harry Hoover, Ed Link, Uncle Pat VanSickle, Cousin Ray Lee Stark. Survived by parents: Arlene and John Trickey, Mark and Barb Hoover Sisters: Laura, Amanda Trickey and Meliissa VanSickle of Spokane, Misty Willhite of CDA, Jennifer Christianson of Vancover Wa 2 step brothers Robert and Travis Finborg, Grandmother Marie Link of DeerPark Wa, Joanne Eraun Puyallup Wa, and numerous Aunts Uncles and Cousins. He left us after a long courageous battle with cancer. Thanks to the many family and friends who where there to comfort him during his illness.He left in peace knowing he was loved. [br][br]Yvonne Belle Hayes was born to Ernest and Georgia Ellersick on May 16th, 1931 in Ione, Washington. She graduated from high school in 1949 from Springfield, Oregon. She has lived in Spokane since 1989. She lived in Sitka, Alaska for one year in 1986 and his was the place she called her favorite (especially with the great seafood) and always yearned to go back. She traveled and stayed on the West Coast. Her father Ernie, was an engineer with Bonneville Power, and so the family moved a lot. Yvonne entered into the profession of banking in her early 20's. In the 1950's, she worked as a public relations officer in the California. She became an alcoholic but in 1978 she earned her sobriety and not long after, began a career as a chemical dependency counselor. She finally retired from Abstemious in 2001 at the age of 70. Yvonne was married four times. She was married four times. Her first two husbands were in the Coast Guard, her third was a wheat farmer from Harrington where she lived for nine years and became a mother and finally, her fourth husband was the director of the treatment center that helped her with sobriety. Yvonne just loves animals and leaves behind her lovely cat and miniature poodle. Yvonne is survived by her only daughter, Donna Maitlen, son-in-law Craig, and three grandchildren, Ashley, Kori and Ryan, all of whom she loved dearly. Yvonne had most dedicated caregivers, Dr. C. Poppel, Mary Tilton, Donna Stolz and Donna Russell. Her closest friend throughout life is Donna Strobel. Yvonne has extended family who she cherished and who will miss her very much. The memorial service will be at the Church 'ONE' in Spokane Valley on Saturday, September 14th at 11 AM. Donations in Yvonne's name can be made to the Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (509) 477-2532 or one of her grandchildren's charities, Service for Sight, or Seattle Children's Hospital.
