[br][br]On the beautiful fall day of September 27, 1934, Patricia Rae (Ramble) Kleweno was born in Almira, Washington to Bernice and Herman Ramble. She had an adventurous early childhood traveling with her parents as they worked on the Grand Coulee dam. She entered Holy Names Academy to begin her schooling where she remained until her high school years and she attended West Valley High School, graduating in the year of 1953. During that time she met Philip P Kleweno and later married him, her high school "sweetheart" on February 3, 1955 and remained married for 58 years. She spent time in San Francisco working as a dental hygienist. Returning to Spokane for the marriage to Philip and soon began a family consisting of Keven, Keith, Cheryl Allen, Kirk. She stayed at home with her children, being active in PTA and as a room mother. As a family they did a great deal of gardening and camping, fishing and soon bought a place on the Pond O Oreille River as the weekend "river" place. She attended SCC to complete management training and began her career at Pacific Trial sportswear, where she remained for 18 years. After Pacific trail closed she continued her career at All Season and Lasco, retiring from NW Knitting Mills. In June 1984 they sold their Spokane property and made the permanent move to the "river" place. They commuted from their river home outside of Newport to Spokane for many years until they retired. She enjoyed reading and sewing and did amazing quilt work with everyone in the family receiving one of her special quilts. She made many friends over the years and enjoyed sharing those times. Over the years she acquired a son- in law- Gary Allen, daughters-in- law; Dawn Bishop-Kleweno, Mona Kleweno and Kelli Kleweno. Soon came eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. During the last five years of her life she developed a devastating disease of Alzheimer's that took her ability to recognize loved ones and her dignity and everything else that was important to her. She passed away the morning of May 30, 2015, her husband Philip preceding her in death 2 years prior. She will be missed so much. Please join the family for a remembrance ceremony on June 5, Friday at 5pm at Terrace View Park Shelter. It would be at the family's request that in luau flowers a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association to help rid the world of the disease.

[br][br]HURT, GORDON LEE, unexpectedly passed away on March 20, 2015 in Mesa, AZ. He was 62. Gordon was born on June 11, 1952 in Spokane to Gordon and Harriet Hurt. Gordon was a devoted husband and his life centered around his high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Susanne (Flees) Hurt. Gordon was a 1970 graduate of Central Valley High School and was hired by the WA State DOT right out of high school. He spent many years as an engineer until he left the DOT in 1981 to follow his dreams of owning a pizza business. He and Susanne successfully owned and operated Gordo's U- Bake Pizza located in Vancouver, WA until 1991, when he and Susanne and their family returned to Spokane where he resumed his career with DOT. He retired from the DOT in 2006, but despite his retirement, Gordon made himself available as a Consultant for the DOT on several engineering projects. In the summer of 2006, he and Susanne bought a motorhome and embarked on their dream of traveling the country. Those dreams were unexpectedly cut short when Susanne passed away in January 2007. Losing her was the single biggest loss in his life. He was able to carry on with their dream of traveling the USA, seeing many sites they had always talked about, visiting friends and family along the way, and making new friends as he went. Gordon and Susanne were active members of the Northwest Treasurer Hunters Club in Spokane. He thoroughly enjoyed helping to organize the Club's annual Father's Day Hunt in Farragut, ID. One of his most memorable experiences was a treasure hunting trip to Scotland with friends from the Club in 2013. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a younger brother Gary Hurt. His is survived by his daughter Brenda (Alan) Detwiler in CA, his son Jason (Allison) Hurt of Spokane, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is also survived by 3 sisters; Barbara (Ken) Tompkins in Missouri, and Janet and Judy Hurt in Spokane. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. A memorial service for Gordon is being planned for June 13, 2015 @ 11:00am at Moran United Methodist Church, 3601 E 65th Ave Spokane, WA. To honor both Gordon and Susanne, a memorial donation can be made to the Spokane Northwest Treasure Hunters at 1124 W Sinto in Spokane Washington, EMAIL: nwthc@ix.netcom.com

[br][br]Faith Josephine Uhden was born on October 7, 2014, she lived for 10 minutes then finished passing in her mother's loving arms at one of the area's largest local hospitals. She was the first born of fraternal twin girls. She is survived by her parents Stephanie Dayle and Christopher Joseph Uhden and by her twin sister Grace Lynn Uhden. Faith was born with a medical condition known as congenital diaphragmatic hernia that did not allow her lungs to develop fully, regardless, it was hoped by all involved with the pregnancy that she could still survive. Faith touched more hearts in her 32 weeks, 2 days and 10 minutes than most people do in a lifetime. An entire community and thousands online were praying for Faith and cheering her on as the pregnancy progressed. She was born early but alive and she deserved more than the mere 10 minutes of effort she got from the neonate doctor on call that night. She was put to rest at Zion Hill Cemetery in Clayton WA on October 18th 2014 during a small private service for family. She was loved by her parents and sister from the beginning and they will hold her in their hearts...forever.
